Back in th' Day

I'm not sure that anybody else knows about the ol' Milwaukee Bucks, but I was bored and did some research on them recently. Our first season was crappy as is usual for expansion teams, just look at the Oklahoma City Blunder(just a working title, tell me if you like it.), and therefore got the first pick in the draft after winning a coin toss. That flip would be the second most epic toss in Wisconsin, Dan and Andy know the most epic one, because with the top overall pick we drafted Lew Alcindor, later know as Kareem Abdul-Jabar. With him and his awesomeness we turned into a playoff contender, losing in the conference finals. Next year by a miracle trade, one of the only good trades by the bucks ever, we got Oscar Robertson, the only player to ever average a triple double in a season. This year, only our third in the league, we won the championship in a finals sweep. With our first round draft pick in the offseason we selected Julius Erving, but he eventually signed with another team......oh what could have been.

To Dan, the master of quarters...

For making a rebuttle, and then making a double or nothing shot which caused Andy to chug an entire beer based on this bet, then leaping into a victory hug, I decree that you are the shit, and it is not debatable. To further emphasize this point, you made every rebuttle from then on.

I'm alright Jack, keep your hands off of my stack.

First off I would like to thank Dan for reminding my that blogs suck unless they're updated.

Secondly, I finally went to Greenbush...fuck yeah donuts!

Finally my random rant: I don't know if I'm the only person who gets annoyed by this, but when I see people walking down the street with non-Madison college apparel I want to flying dragon kick them. I'm sure there is one case where I'd say "hmm I guess that's not completley stupid.", but when you go to The University of Wisconsin Madison and wear a penn state sweatshirt after they handed us our worst home loss in 19 years you'll have to forgive me if I completley skull-fuck you.

This Weekend

Any weekend that starts off with a badger game is bound to be good. This weekend however was beyond good. I've been trying to think of the best word to describe it and I'd have to say it comes close to perfect. To be in the student section at camp randall for opening day is a feeling unlike any other. On that note a HUGE ASO to all the students who left early. If you can't stay for the whole game you don't deserve to have tickets, and certainly don't deserve to be in the student section. On the other hand SO to the badgers for a birthday win.

The next day was just as good. A birthday party that started with the simpsons, then cake, and then sweet drinking games with my best friends was a good end to the summer. I would have to say it was without a doubt the best birthday I've ever had, and those 2 days were the best of my life.

Endings and Beginnings

As my blog begins along with the school year and a new apartment my last tuesday shift of the year has just ended. Sure I'll be working during the school year, but nothing will be quite the same as my tuesdays at the rathskeller this summer. The three of us that worked there formed the all-star cast. We were the best in all the rath at our respective stations(and we did get props, mad ones, from the other employees), we got along really well, and we had a lot of fun. All summer long I would look forward to this shift, and now that it's over I can sense an end to the summer. For now I'll just have to look forward to this weekend....
